Among Broward’s rich cultural offerings are many undiscovered treasures. To uncover these gems, we partnered with the Innovation Unit in the County’s Resilient Environment Department to create data dashboards for the public. These new tools for discovery enable users to search for a wide variety of cultural offerings throughout our region. The dashboards also increase the public’s accessibility to the Cultural Division’s work as a County agency.
Maps and comprehensive background information guide enthusiasts and adventurers alike through the hidden treasures within our communities. Users can discover everything from an avant-garde sculpture tucked away in a neighborhood park to a mural on a cruise terminal at Port Everglades that are part of the County’s public art collection.
With just a few clicks, one can navigate through a mosaic of public art installations and design commissions via the Public Art & Design dashboard, as well as funded projects and venues across the County via the Grants + Funding dashboard.
The data dashboards also provide a centralized platform where artists, organizations, and policymakers can converge, engage in dialogue, foster partnerships, and share insights.
As we embrace the era of data-driven cultural stewardship, we look forward to more opportunities presented by these innovative dashboards.
Explore the newly available public dashboards to access the grants and public art data to reveal the no longer hidden gems of arts and culture throughout our region.
