First Friday Jazz Jam

The “First Friday Jazz Jams” celebrates its 18th year beginning in January of 2027. This monthly jam session occurs from January through June each year.  Jazz students are invited to bring their instruments, their friends and family and participate in this live open jam session. The evening kicks off with a brief set by our GCJS jazz quartet led by Nicole Yarling and is followed by jamming with the local student musicians. The Friday Jazz Jams provide students a chance to perform and hone their skills with a live professional backline, provided by the Gold Coast Jazz Society for each jam session. Friday Jazz Jams are open to any jazz students from area middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. Audience members of all ages invited to attend.
