Become a Panelist: Opportunities for Citizens and Arts Professionals
Are you passionate about the arts and want to make a difference in Broward County? The Broward Cultural Division is inviting applications for two exciting opportunities: the Citizen Review Panelist for our Grants section and the Artist Selection Panel for our Public Art & Design program.
Applications for fiscal year 2025 panels are open until August 11.
Citizen Review Panelist for Grants
Each year, the Cultural Division calls on local residents from diverse backgrounds and artistic perspectives to serve on our Citizen Review Panels. As a panelist, you’ll play a crucial role in evaluating grant applications, ensuring a transparent and community-driven grant-making process. We’re looking for individuals who can bring their unique viewpoints to the table and help us maintain a high-quality pool of panelists.
Applying is simple! Just fill out the online application and showcase your qualifications. Our Division staff will review applications, and selected panelists will be recommended for approval by the Broward Cultural Council.
Artist Selection Panelists for Public Art & Design
If you have a background in the visual arts, consider applying to be part of our Artist Selection Panels. These panels are essential to the public art selection process for Broward County buildings and facilities. We seek artists, designers, curators, art collectors, and other arts professionals to recommend artists and artwork for public projects.
Panel members participate in multiple public meetings to review and select finalists and their proposals. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the artistic direction of public spaces in our community.
Why Apply?
By joining one of these panels, you’ll have the chance to:
– Make a meaningful impact on Broward County’s arts and cultural landscape.
– Work with a diverse group of individuals who share your passion for the arts.
– Gain insight into the grant-making and public art selection processes.
Spread the word and apply today to help shape the future of arts in Broward County!
