Milo Todd: The Lilac People – Book Talk & Lunch
During the Weimar Republic (1919 to 1933), Berlin was considered the most progressive city in the world, as well as a trailblazer of transgender healthcare and culture. Join Milo Todd (The Lilac People) as he discusses the era’s vibrant trans community and its endless series of documented firsts–including terminology, surgeries, rights, memoirs, and music–as well as the influence of the grandfather of LGBTQ+ rights and medicine, Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld.
