Gold Coast Jazz presents the incomparable jazz vocalist Stacey Kent. “Stacey Kent has practically done it all over the past twenty years, selling north of two million albums, putting her gorgeously delicate stamp on standards, introducing fresh tunes into the canon, racking up awards and bring her flawless voice to fans in more than fifty countries,” says All About Jazz.  The Wall Street Journal claims “She has charm to burn, a smile that could give you hope in February and sings like nobody’s business.”  Billboard says “Thoroughly captivating…(Kent’s) voice has a startling clarity, turning phrase after phrase with subtlety and an impeccable feel for the music.”

Kent has a legion of jazz fans around the world. Her albums have sold in excess of 2 million copies, earning Gold, Double Gold, and Platinum certifications and reaching No. 1 on the jazz charts multiple times. A Grammy® nominee and recipient of numerous international awards, Kent continues to enchant audiences with her luminous voice and intimate storytelling.

Her recent releases include A Time for Love (2026) Songs from Other Places (Candid Records, 2022) and I Know the Dream: The Orchestral Sessions (Okeh/Sony), the latter earning five stars in DownBeat and winning Album of the Year in the vocal category at the 2017 Jazz Japan Awards.

Kent’s musical journey began with childhood piano lessons and continued through her studies at Sarah Lawrence College. A move to London led her to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she met her future husband and longtime musical collaborator, John Tomlinson. After honing her craft in London’s jazz clubs, she released six acclaimed albums on the Candid label, establishing herself as a singular voice in contemporary jazz.

She will be performing selections from A Time for Love, her latest recording. With a full touring schedule, sold‑out concerts, and festival appearances worldwide, Stacey Kent remains a radiant, captivating presence on the global jazz stage.

Parking

A&E DISTRICT GARAGE
This secure, lighted 950-space parking garage is located directly across the street from the Broward Center at 101 SW 5th Avenue, on the corner of SW 5th Avenue and SW 2nd Street. Please note, this is a garage for the community and is not exclusive to Broward Center patrons attending events.

The Skywalk Elevator in the A&E District Garage is currently under renovation. For accessible entry to the Broward Center, cross NW 2nd Street and follow the accessible signs to the lower entry doors. From garage levels 2 and 3, take the elevator to the ground floor and proceed to the lower entry doors. Passenger drop off at the top of the valet ramp is also available, with early arrival encouraged for use.

Accessible seating is available and can be limited. Please check in advance with the Broward Center AutoNation box office.

  • Accessible Parking For guests using the A&E Parking Garage who have mobility needs, the following accessibility options are available for entry:

    Golf carts will be available on the ground floor of the A&E Parking Garage to transport guests to the main entrance.
    An accessible ramp and entrance to the venue is located at the Southwest corner of Himmarshee Street and SW 5th Avenue.
    Dropoff on the main ramp is available with early arrival encouraged.
  • Accessible Restrooms Wheelchair accessible stalls available in every restroom throughout the Broward Center. Companion/family restrooms are also available. Please ask any guest service manager or front of house personnel for location.
  • Service Animal Service animals as defined by the American with Disabilities Act are permitted into the theaters and must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.

    A service animal must sit under the guest’s seat or at his/her feet.

    Service animals are not permitted to sit in the aisle or on seats.

    A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Broward Center guests and/or staff may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.
  • Wheelchair Access Accessible seating is available and can be limited. We encourage you to order early and to specifically request seating for wheelchair access, easy access transfer or swing arm seats, sign-interpreted, audio described or open-captioned performances when placing your order.

    Accessible seating may be purchased by calling 954.462.0222, press option 1. Wheelchair seating may also be purchased on line at BrowardCenter.org. Look for the wheelchair icon on the seating chart and click to purchase.

    Wheelchair/Accessible Ticketing Policy

    It is prohibited for anyone other than those requiring the accessible features of a seat or that of a guest's companion to use accessible seating locations (unless the area has been released for general seating). Those purchasing wheelchair accessible seating may purchase one (1) wheelchair accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats; any additional seats must be purchased in the regular seating areas. This policy ensures that we can maximize use of all available and accessible wheelchair seats at our theater.

Sensory-Inclusive Performances

These performances are intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities.

Sensory-Bags:

The Broward Center offers sensory-bags for all performances at Broward Center and the Parker, that contain noise cancelling headphones, sunglasses, fidgets, and sunglasses clips to accommodate families that might be overwhelmed by the lights, sounds, and crowds. Sensory-bags can be requested at the front of house desk.
