Call for Artists & Creatives: The 2026 Art of Breastfeeding Exhibition

BreastfeedMIAMI invites artists and creatives to submit original, display-ready work for the 2026 Art of Breastfeeding Exhibition.

This year’s theme is:

Empowering breastfeeding parents at home and at work. Breastfeeding is possible everywhere with the help and support of everyone.

Artists are encouraged to consider the following themes for artistic inspiration:

• Quiet, intimate moments between mom and baby
• Family support and the involvement of dads
• Professional support from doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, nurses, and care providers
• Returning to work and public spaces, including lactation rooms, pumping, and breast milk storage

Artists are encouraged to interpret this theme broadly through artwork that reflects nurturing relationships, family and community support, healthcare and lactation professionals, pumping and returning to work, cultural traditions, public breastfeeding, and the many ways communities help families thrive.

Submissions may include painting, photography, digital art, mixed media, sculpture, poetry, music, and more.

If you already have work connected to the theme, please submit it now. (You can also submit works in progress, but it must be ready to hang by drop-off date)

If you are creating new work for the exhibition, you are still welcome to submit. Please don’t wait until the last minute. Use the extended deadline to complete and submit your work.

Selected artwork will be featured in the 2026 Art of Breastfeeding Exhibition on Saturday, September 19, 2026, with public voting for awards.

🏆 2nd Place — Ribbon + $200
🏆 3rd Place — Ribbon + $100
