Georgeta Fondos is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on experimental textile art, site-specific installations, and photography. Her textile installations have been exhibited in museums, art centers, and galleries across South Florida, and her work has been recognized with multiple awards and honors.

Originally trained in traditional weaving, Georgeta earned her bachelor’s degree in Textile Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts of Moldova, followed by a Post-Graduate Study Scholarship in Greece. She later completed her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at Florida Atlantic University. Her practice is informed by her European roots and American experience, combining conceptual depth with technical precision.

Georgeta’s public-facing work also includes large-scale murals for civic and cultural spaces across the United States, Greece, Mexico, and beyond. In South Florida, she is known for her custom mural designs commissioned by government agencies and community organizations.
