Cary Daly
Cary Daly was born in Danbury, CT in 1972 and raised primarily in Pittsburgh, PA. Her early passion for art was nurtured at Carnegie Mellon University’s Pre-College Art Program. She later pursued studies in Fiber Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her BA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History. Since relocating to South Florida in 2021, after spending most of her adult life raising children and teaching, she has begun to reinvigorate her professional art practice.
Cary is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator whose work spans painting, fiber arts, and interactive installations. Her art invites a tactile, sensory-inclusive experience, often focusing on themes of femininity, motherhood, and the complex relationships shared by Generation X women. Cary’s work reflects her personal journey, blending symbolic realism with dark humor and whimsical elements drawn from traditionally feminine mediums, such as quilting and knitting.
